TABSO Flight 101 was an Ilyushin Il-18B (registered as LZ-BEN) operated by the Bulgarian airlines TABSO en route from Sofia in Bulgaria via Budapest in Hungary to Prague-Ruzyně Airport in Czechoslovakia (today's Czech Republic) on 24 November 1966. Because of weather conditions, it made an unplanned stop at Bratislava Airport in Czechoslovakia (today's Slovakia). Shortly after the take-off about 4:30 PM CET, the plane crashed into the foothills of the Little Carpathians near Rača, Bratislava's borough.
All the 82 people on board, 74 passengers and 8 crew members, died. The victims comprised of 12 nationalities, mainly Bulgarians. The official investigation concluded the probable cause as undetermined.[1]
