- Not to be confused with Ta Ku Ling (also 打鼓嶺 in Chinese) in the Sai Kung District, New Territories, Hong Kong.
Ta Kwu Ling (Chinese: 打鼓嶺) is an area in the North District, New Territories, Hong Kong. Its name is frequently heard in weather reports, since it is usually where the highest and lowest daily temperature of Hong Kong is recorded, due to its inland location.
The area is located northeast of Sheung Shui. Although it is located not too far from the border with mainland China, it is not close enough to fall within the Frontier Closed Area.
[edit] Transport
The area is far from its nearest major road Sha Tau Kok Road, connecting Fanling to Sha Tau Kok. Branch roads are built to connect the major road via the area Ping Che in the south.[citation needed]
