T.Rextasy played their first ever concert in September 1992 at The Dove in Hackney, East London. Amongst those watching was original T.Rex drummer Bill Legend. From that day on, T.Rextasy went from strength to strength obtaining agency deals from around the UK.
In 1993 The band was checked out by Gary Glitter who was impressed enough to have T.Rextasy opening for him at Wembley Arena, NEC Birmingham, Sheffield Arena, and all the Arenas of Great Britain. T.Rextasy went down so well that they ended up playing Wembley Arena and the NEC Birmingham again the following year.
Due to their Arena success, they obtained a CD album deal through Madman Records (UK)and Quatro Records (Japan) and Columbia Records (Japan) where they released two albums, 'Trip & Glide'(1994), and 'Savage Beethoven'(1997). To coincide with their first CD release, an original song 'Baby Factory' was issued in a replica 'T.Rex' sleeve (now a collectable item), followed by the cd single and a promotional video.
The band followed this up with two highly successful tours of Japan selling out the Quattro Club circuit, before stepping upwards to playing venues that included the giant Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo, which was filmed and shown by NHK TV Japan in 1996.
Throughout the 1990s, and along the way, T.Rextasy have played at the prestigious Billy Elliot Film Party - (amongst the film cast there was also in attendance Kathy Burke and Hugh Grant), headlined the special 1997 Anniversary Concert for Marc Bolan at the Cambridge Corn Exchange, made so many televsion and radio appearances that are just too numerous to mention here, and have appeared on various CD compilation albums around the world.
T.Rextasy have been gigging around the world taking in Abu Dhabi, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Japan, Marrakech, and other countries while consistently keeping a strong-hold on the UK market in which they now not only play with Marc Bolan's contemporaries such as Slade, Cockney Rebel, Roy Wood, Suzi Quatro,Sweet, Ian Hunter (Mott The Hoople) and others, but also headline extremely successful theatre tours, festivals, and the better quality rock clubs.
