T. L. Taylor (scholar)

T.L. Taylor is a sociologist who specialises in researching the culture of online communities, and in particular, MMOGs such as Everquest and World of Warcraft. She received her Ph.D. in sociology from Brandeis University. Her dissertation, Living Digitally: Embodiment in Virtual Environments, explored design and identities in MUDS and graphical virtual worlds.

Taylor is an Associate Professor at the Center for Computer Games Research at the IT University of Copenhagen.
