[edit] History

Before T.L. Hanna High there were Boy's High (located at what is now the Hanna-Westside Extension Campus) and Girl's High (located at what is now the Anderson County Museum). In 1951 Girl's High changed its name to Hanna High, named after its first principal[1]. In 1961 Hanna High moved to a new site on Marchbanks Avenue, the current site of McCants Middle School, and became co-ed in 1962. In 1992 the school moved to its current location on Highway 81. A recent addition to the campus completed in 2007 is the Freshmen Academy, an extension to the building that has classrooms specifically for Hanna's Freshmen students.
