[edit] Beast Machines

As a strong defender of the Maximal cause, this former attack specialist stationed in sector 17 of the Mirtonian constellation has returned to Cybertron. Reformatted into the charismatic Dinobot platoon commander, T-Wrecks, his fellow Maximals bestowed him the nickname "Big Rex" as a testament to his powerhouse presence on the battlefield. Serrated steel jaws can snap most materials in two, acidic breath instantly corrodes most alloys and dual hip-mounted launchers fire air-imploding projectiles.

T-Wrecks is a homage to the original Dinobot Grimlock in both his T-Rex beast form and command status. His name is a play on the words “T-Rex” and his nickname “Big Rex” is a homage to Optimus Primal, sometimes called “Big Bot” by Cheetor.

While sharing a mold with Beast Wars Megatron, T-Wrecks did however vary from Megatron in two district ways in how he was depicted. First T-Wrecks did have the “bone helmet” that was omitted in Beast Wars and second T-Wrecks’ tail did not detach from his arm in robot mode and was not a missile launcher.

Although the Dinobots' intro states that the Dinobots received their beast modes through the slicing of Dinobot's DNA, it is likely that the Oracle also used the fossil chamber (seen in the Beast Machine series) to utilize Tyrannosaurus Rex DNA (in fact a tyrannosaurus skull can be seen in the chamber as a direct nod to the Dinobots toy line).

T-Wrecks was one of the original five members of the new Dinobots group. Although he has the rank of commander, the comic portrayed him taking his orders from Magmatron, a second year toy, and calling boss, as Magmatron outranked him.

Transformers: Universe - Wreckers #1 contains a story called "Departure". The Wreckers, Mutants and Dinobots arrive on Cybertron and are sent on missions by the Oracle.

Transformers: Universe - Wreckers #2 contains a story called "Betrayal". After arriving on a planet the Dinobots are attacked by the Dweller and his energon zombie horde.

According to the script for the unreleased issue #4 of Transformers: Universe - The Wreckers Devcon and the Dinobots returned to Cybertron where they helped repel the an invasion by the Quintessons.

The Dinobots Terranotron, T-Wrecks, Triceratron and Dinotron join Devcon's hunt for Cyclonus.
