Tyler John was born on November 6, 1992, in Columbia City, Indiana.

Tyler is a Christian, he believes that Jesus Christ is the one way to heaven. He goes to church almost every sunday. He also goes to Cell 4:12 (his youth group), and summer camp. He has three brothers and one sister.

Tyler plays football as a wing back for Central Noble High School. As of last season he has only had two runs and no receptions playing as a wing back. He has also played running back in one game, and did fairly well with two first downs in the short time he played. He has noted that he would like to play more running back in the future.
