For the time being I have taken out some Hawaiian references which were confusing in the midst of a nz article. I will rewrite this article soon and will consider what to do with related deities in other parts of Polynesia. Related - not identical as is sometimes assumed. Kahuroa 08:33, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
