Tōru Sakai

Tōru Sakai (酒井亨 Sakai Tōru),(1966-), is a Japanese journalist. Since 2000, when he quit Kyodo News Agency, he has been living in Taiwan. He has published many books and articles about Asian politics, civil societies, foreign relations in newspapers and magazines in Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. He also writes about Lebanese pop songs and religious culture. He speaks and writes well in Japanese, Taiwanese, Chinese, Korean, and a little in Hakka.
