The 7000 series (東京地下鉄7000系電車 Tōkyō Metoro 7000 kei densha?) is an EMU which operates on the Yūrakuchō subway line of Tōkyō Metro (formerly known as "Eidan").

All sets operate on the Yūrakuchō Line, including inter-running services over the Tōbu Tōjō Main Line between Wakōshi Station and Kawagoeshi Station. Sets also operate over the Seibu Yūrakuchō and Ikebukuro Lines between Kotakemukaihara Station and Hannō Station.

- MT ratio: 6M4T and 5M5T (with 165 kW motors)
- Control system of original: Chopper
- Traction motor output: 150 kW (chopper control), 160 kW (6M4T IGBT-VVVF control), 165 kW (5M5T IGBT-VVVF control)
- Gear ratio: 6.53 (98:15)
- Headlights: Sealed beam
- Destination indicators: 3-colour LED
- Once used direction curtain.
- Passenger information displays: 3-colour LED
- Sets 7133 and 7134: 8 per car (since they built)
- Many of 7101 to 7120: 4 per car (modified)
- Some of 7101 to 7120 and 7121 to 7132: not fitted
- Seating arrangement (intermediate cars): 3-7-7-7-3
- Seats are all longitudinal bench seats.
- Driver's cab: Two handles (no deadman system)
- Each side has 4 doors

The first sets were introduced in 1974, with a total of 34 10-car sets built up until 1989.

[edit] Refurbishment
Type of refurbishment are C-refurbish (small scale) and B-refurbish (big scale). All of 2 step window cars (■■) were executed B-refurbish and changed to 1 step window. Some sets of there refurbished middle additional cars (■) also refurbished and some sets are not. Middle additional cars of 7117 and 7120 are not completely refurbished.
Control system of sets 7101 to 7120 is updated. Many sets changed to IGBT-VVVF system. Number of motored cars reduced from 6 to 5 in some sets.
- 7108 7111 7117: Use remained chopper system which were gathered by converting VVVF (from middle additional cars (■)).
