Szczecin-Warszewo

Szczecin-Warszewo is a municipal neighborhood of the city of Szczecin, Poland situated on the left bank of Oder river, north-west of the Szczecin Old Town and Middle Town. It is situated on Warszewo Hills Wzgorza Warszewskie c.a. 110 m. There is a nice panorama view of Szczecin (radius - 30 km). Warszewo has its football club "Wicher Warszewo" which plays in the Futsal Amator League (Środowiskowa Liga Futsalu). "Wicher" means a "gale" - a symbol of the team. Season location in the Futsal League Wicher Warszewo: 2003/2004 - 9th place 2004/2005 - 6th place 2005/2006 - 3th place 2006/2007 - 2th place - promotion in the first league.

Warzewo was until 1998 site of a powerful mediumwave transmitter.
