Hello! My name is Sy’rai. I have been singing for over 10 years. I enjoy listening to musical artists like R. Kelly, Usher, Tu Pac, Nas, Biggie Small, Donnell Jones, Baby Face and Michael Jackson. I live in Victoria, Canada. I love living in Victoria… peaceful and beautiful! I find the people of Victoria to be very kind and trustworthy. I’ve made tons of friends, but one of the greatest people I met opened the right path for my singing career. I had spent many dollars recording demos until I met a fellow named Kevin. I met Kevin at one of my jobs that I worked at. He was a regular customer. One day, I asked Kevin if he knew of any local, musical recording people. Coincidentally, he told me that he himself recorded music and, the following week, we started! The first song that we did was called, “Days Go By.” As days went by, we became good friends and we went on making good sounds together. During that time, I started sending my music demos to one of the FM radio stations in Vancouver, British Columbia. It took me about three years before I started recording professionally. The radio station was giving me some good advice about my music and, as a result, the station’s music director directed me to my first music producer ever; a gentleman by the name of Adam H. With this man, I found out that the sky’s the limit! When I first met Adam, one of the many things I liked about him was that he always reminded me that nothing just happens overnight. I listened to him and often remind myself about what he had said and, as a result, I learned the important value of patience. However, I am now experiencing the personal satisfaction of singing, and my songs being played on the radio. My first song to make it to the airwaves is called, “Tell Me.” It continues to get airtime from several radio stations across Canada. I have just finished recording my second song titled, “You Are Everything” and I am hopeful that you will soon hear it on your radios, as well! I love performing in Vancouver and try to perform there often, whenever I get the opportunity to do so. The name Sy’rai came from my middle name, Sorie, meaning savior. An Asian lady that I know by the name of Nadia suggested the spelling, “Sy’rai.” I want to also acknowledge the terrific support from my family and friends who have helped me to pursue my dream. You have all helped to shape my life in a very positive way… and I am forever grateful! Sy’rai
