Lexington Steele Pushups

So it's ok to include a pornstar's outrageous claims in Wikipedia, but not to fact-check them? I guess I don't understand... I would imagine that has something to do with you giving no explanation whatsoever for your revert. That was my first attempt at editing Wikipedia and it wasn't an 'experiment,' I saw something that sounded ludicrous, fact-checked it, and included the relevant info with a source. It'll also be my last attempt at editing Wikipedia, as I see that the stuff I've heard about anal-retentive fanboys who refuse to allow their personal Sacred Pages to be edited by Anyone But Them are completely true. Thanks for turning the 10 minutes I spent looking that up into a waste, it's certainly better to have found out right up front what I was dealing with on this site than to do so after putting a real amount of effort into something. Have fun being the protector of Lexington. I know you don't realize this, but this site isn't actually your personal playground.

Please see WP:OR. --SonicChao 20:03, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

Your Signature

Would you please tone down the size of your signature. This:

--<span style="font-variant:small-caps;"><font color="red">S</font><font color="blue">o</font><font color="red">n</font><font color="blue">i</font><font color="red">c</font><font color="blue">C</font><font color="blue">h</font><font color="red">a</font><font color="blue">o</font> userpage uncyclopedia</span>

is not exactly the size of signature (334 characters) we like to see. Please, if you could, follow WP:SIG. I try to keep it to a minimum of 150 characters if you could. I can help if you want, but your current signature is disruptive. — Moe Epsilon 21:16 October 02 '06

Hmm...ok, is this good? I used SUBST and something different.. --Image:Icons-flag-us.pngSonicChao talk contribs 21:44, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

No, thats not good at all. A few things about your new signature are very bad:
1) If you used subst, that means you used a template which is generally not allowed, which needs to be fixed. If you do use a template, you need to subst it. You have subst'ed it before, but when you do subst, it produces the length of your text as:
--<span style="font-variant:small-caps;"><font color="red">S</font><font color="blue">o</font><font color="red">n</font><font color="blue">i</font><font color="red">c</font><font color="blue">C</font><font color="blue">h</font><font color="red">a</font><font color="blue">o</font> <font color="red">talk</font> <font color="blue">contribs</font></span>
2) Your signature contains an Image, which again is highly discouraged and should not be used.
3) Your signature got even bigger than before, which is much worse.
Please correct these as soon as possible. — Moe 15:07, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
Fine. I'll just delete it. --SonicChao 18:56, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

I'm not going to argue with you about it. I added the notice, and it's now a red link. My job is technically done. --SonicChao 23:11, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

81.154.252.34

Hello, you reverted User:81.154.252.34 on Islamic view of miracles, and he reverted back. He's also going against the sourced information on Major world religions. I'm reverted three times on that page. I was wondering if you could help there. Thanks. -- Jeff3000 16:52, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Loriga AFD?

In this edit you added an article delete notification, but it's commented out. What's the scoop? — EncMstr 16:47, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

After someone decided to fix Loriga, the notice was removed. I even agreed the article should be kept. --SonicChao 03:42, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Help

It seems the admins blocked the secure.wikimedia.org HTTPS way to get into the site. Now I am blocked... --SonicChao 20:33, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

You really need to user the unblock for unblock requests. You'll also need to give me a few more hints, like the block message you get. Which IP it is etc. --pgk 20:36, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

We can't unblock you at this time, because you haven't given us the information we need to even look into your block. You yourself were not blocked; if you were prevented from editing, you must have been autoblocked or blocked because of your IP address. I'm removing your unblock request because there's nothing we can do without this information. If you are still autoblocked by the time you read this message:

 1. Try and edit the Wikipedia:Sandbox by clicking here.
 2. Copy the ... code generated for you under the "Autoblocked?" section.
 3. Paste the code at the bottom of your user talk page and click save.

If you are not blocked from editing the sandbox then the autoblock on your IP address has already expired and need not do anything more.

I understand, the IP was blocked but not me, here's the block message:

Your user name or IP address has been blocked from editing. You were blocked by JoshuaZ for the following reason (see our blocking policy): abusive sock, shared IP

Your IP address is 66.230.200.227. --SonicChao 20:39, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Yeah I realise you knew it wasn't you, just a standard template which lets people know precisely what we need. I've lifted the block. --pgk 20:47, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
Thank you. --SonicChao 20:49, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Spelling

Wikipedia recognises both American English and British English/Commonwealth English spellings. In general you should not change from one to the other, except in cases where there is a strong association of the subject with one or the other (e.g., an article about a US town should use AE and not BE spelling). Thanks. Guettarda 21:52, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Ah, ok. I wasn't sure, but I thought possibly American English was preferred. --SonicChao 22:26, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Correction

I re-inserted the intro portion by MusicProf for Marilyn Monroe that you had impulsively reverted because that is a true reflection of her fame. She was and still is mainly popular among Americans of European descent. If you are a fan of this woman, removing vital information to shine the biography will only contribute to misrepresentation. Neither am I black nor do I dislike this actress. However, I do strive for accuracy of information being written about people. I hope this clarifies things for you....NeutralWriter

The edit I reverted is here, I did not believe that Marilyn Monroe was born in 1926. As always, using an automated tool, it is sometimes difficult to know what you are doing. However, what I did is completely fine under Wikipedia standards (see 3RR). --SonicChao 03:12, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Reed Bed panorama

I have uploaded a new version on FPC, which you might check out. It addresses the concerns voiced by the opposers. Greetings, --Janke | Talk 15:29, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Ok, I'll check it out. Even though I didn't post it, I was on a wikibreak for a few days. ^^; --SonicChao 19:34, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
EDIT: Seems to be too late now. --SonicChao 19:37, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Hey

I didn't knwo you were here. And I am not just a Wikipedian, but a very respected one at that, as you can see by my two barnstars. Hey, I'll be seeing you around! Karrmann 04:15, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

I see that. Be seeing you. =D --SonicChao 20:01, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for the tip, this guy has been creating redundant stubs and talk pages all over the place and I didn't know the protocol. By the way, how do you escalate such an issue so perhaps this guy can be blocked? TAnthony 22:11, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

You are welcome, I would continue to use db and see if you can get help in IRC. --SonicChao 22:15, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

VandalSniper

Thanks for applying to use VandalSniper! You have been approved. If have not already done so, you may find instructions to install VS on the project page.

As some of the libraries VandalSniper runs on are currently in transition, there have been a few issues reported with setup. At the moment, Linux is the most compatible platform for VS. If you have questions or problems, you may find help on the project page or its talk page. Please also feel free to contact me for help and I will do my best to assist you.

Thanks for becoming a part of one of Wikipedia's best new software tools! -- Omicronpersei8 (talk) 04:38, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks! I dual-boot so I was planning on using VandalSniper for my Linux partition. --SonicChao 19:50, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism of Talk:Nickname page

Hey, thanks for cleaning up that page.

The page has been vandalised again by the same IP, though, since you last reverted it. I took the liberty of once again reverting the vandalism and adding a warning to the IP's Talk page. I've not dealt with vandalism before. Should the page be requested for protection? I'm unsure if the edits are just misguided errors or true vandalism. What do you think?

Thanks again. Evening Breeze 21:26, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Oops, sorry about that. The IP of the user in question is 190.40.182.127. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:190.40.182.127) Thanks for responding on my Talk so quickly :). Evening Breeze 00:43, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
Ok, thanks very much! Evening Breeze 01:02, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

My talk page

Can I at least take the first warning off the page, because that was reversed and I was unblocked. -~Craig the Omnipotent 22:10, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

I'm afraid not, however when your talk page gets to long you can archive it. --SonicChao 22:15, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
