Where is it said that the father is emasculated?

Emasculated = weak, ineffective, deprived of male identity. Maybe it's implied by the description of the father as despairing, humiliated at work, near breaking point...? If you don't agree, go ahead and fix it. — DavidMack 22:15, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
