[edit] Holding the chromosomes together

Shouldn't this article mention what holds the homologous chromosomes together. Human Genetics: Concepts and Applications, 6th Edition by Ricki Lewis (ISBN 0-07-287735-9) has this to say: "A mixture of RNA and protein holds the chromosome pairs together." Gordon P.
