[edit] College career
Steptoe played college football for the University of Arizona.
His most memorable moment came on October 21, 2006 during a 10-17 home loss to Pacific 10 Conference rival Oregon State. During a punt return, Syndric exhibited both lightening speed and the ability to quickly change directions on his way to a 67 yard return for a touchdown. It would be his second and the last of his collegiate career.
His nickname "Magic Shoes" originated from his punt return days at the University of Arizona. Syndric frequently used his blazing speed, clocked in the 40-yard dash at 4.5 seconds, and elusive maneuvers to befuddle opposing tacklers during his collegiate career from 2003 to 2006.
He was a family studies and human development major.
[edit] Professional career
Steptoe was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the seventh round (234th overall) in the 2007 NFL Draft.
