Symphony in Three Movements is a ballet made by New York City Ballet's ballet master and co-founder George Balanchine for opening night of its Stravinsky Festival to eponymous film music in orchestral arrangement from 1945 and lighting by Mark Stanley. The premiere took place on June 18, 1972, at the New York State Theater, Lincoln Center.
