The Symphony No. 76 in E-flat major (Hoboken 1/76) is a symphony by Joseph Haydn. Robert Simpson quoted the first movement in the Scherzo of his own Symphony No. 4 in E-flat major.

The symphony was composed in 1782 as part of a trio of symphonies that also included symphonies 77 and 78. These three symphonies were composed for a proposed trip to London which fell through.[1] It is scored for flute, two oboes, two bassoons, two horns and strings.

It is in four movements:

  1. Allegro
  2. Adagio, ma non troppo
  3. Menuetto & Trio: Allegretto
  4. Finale: Allegro, ma non troppo
