Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) is a business school based in Pune, Maharashtra, India with another campus in the city of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

The Symbiosis Institute of Business Management was established in 1978. It continues to be the flagship brand of the Symbiosis Society.
SIBM is a constituent of Symbiosis International University (earlier known as Symbiosis International Education Centre). Symbiosis International University is an unaided Deemed University as conferred by the Department of Secondary & Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India vide letter No. F.9- 12/2001-U.3 dated 6th May 2002.

SIBM has been ranked the 4th best b-school in India by Business Today (a part of India Today) magazine in September 2007 as per an A. C. Nielsen/ORG-MARG survey. However, the methodology and ranking mechanism of the survey for 2006 and 2007 were disputed [1][2].
SIBM has also been ranked 15th best b-school in India by the PaGaLGuY.com Bschool Rankings 2008 in January 2008.[1]

SIBM has a reference and lending library with over 18,000 books, reports, journals, periodicals, CDs and video cassettes.

Computer Lab: The Computer lab, with broadband connectivity to the Internet and Intranet, has 120 pentiums with exclusive leased lines.
Wi-fi campus: SIBM has a wi-fi campus that enables the students to get on-line anywhere.
Classrooms: All lecture classrooms are equipped with audiovisual facilities.

The in-house facilities include a 600-seater modern auditorium and a modern conference hall located at Vishwa Bhavan (the head office of the Symbiosis Group of Institutes).

SIBM has a gym equipped with training equipment as well as a fitness trainer who keeps a record of the progress made by each individual.

SIBM’s new residential campus at Lavale village will house the Symbiosis International Education Centre (Now known as Symbiosis International University) office & various Trust offices, central library, auditorium, conference hall, canteen, health care centre, area for recreational activities, shopping area, guest house, swimming pool, teaching & non teaching staff housing and menial staff housing.

The students’ council at SIBM is the student body responsible and accountable for all activities on the campus throughout the year. The teams serve the interest of the students, the industry and the alumni in keeping with the vision of the institute. The body has been granted the freedom to fix independent goals for their respective teams and to use available resources to accomplish the same.
There are five teams in the Students’ Council. These are:
- Alumni Team
- Corporate Interface Team
- Extracurricular Activities Team
- Information Technology Team
- Placement Advisory Team
Other than the council, other teams also carry out student activities. These are:
- Admissions & Student Relations Team
- Research Factory
- Students' Social Responsibility Cell
