SymNRT
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
SymNRT is a tool distributed by Symantec. It is designed to remove Norton software from your computer when the normal method (using Add/Remove programs) fails. It is quite common to need it - both Symantec and other support resources frequently suggest its use. Common goals include:
- effect a complete uninstall prior to reinstall to resolve problems otherwise nigh unsolvable.
- effect a complete uninstallation to allow a competing product to be used.
It also removes certain registry keys and other information that the regular uninstallation does not.
