Category:Symphonies by Ludwig van Beethoven
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Beethoven’s symphonies changed music history by taking the genre one step further from the Classical to the Romantic period. In fact, many critics consider that Beethoven’s 3rd symphony marks the beginning of the Romantic era in music.
Other revolutionary symphonies are the 5th and the 9th, each one of them representing a certain stage in the evolution of the musical symphonic language of Beethoven in particular and of the symphonic genre in general.
