[edit] Linux Format
According to the website, Syllable is due to be featured in the April 2006 issue. A reference to that would be very helpful when it comes out. HTH HAND —Phil | Talk 13:31, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
- Followup to above comment: the article was published; discussed in news post and forums. As the article author, I hope to get a PDF up soon, to which we can link on the Wikipedia page. As an aside, I'm intrigued that a small but very active operating system project can be 'proposed for deletion' as per Wikipedia's guidelines! Especially when a tiny text-mode browser for the Amiga is acceptable :-) -- Mike Saunders, 23:02, 26th March 2006 (BST)

- Well, the thing is, anyone can propose an article for deletion, it doesn't mean that much .. the article didn't make mention of why it's at all interesting or notable, so it's easy to assume that it's just a vanity software article, and everyone in the AfD did vote to keep it. :) --Fuzzie (talk) 22:24, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

- Ah, I see! Thanks. It certainly does need some info on its background and what it's striving to offer over other free OSes -- I'll have a think. -- Mike Saunders, 10:43, 27th March 2006 (BST)

[edit] Release Date
The website and software info box both state that v0.6.1 was released on May 21st, but the article says "The latest version is 0.6.1, released on May 10, 2006." So which was it? -- Jeremyharmon 20:31, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
- Looks like May 21st, http://www.syllable.org/story.php?id=234 -- Jeremyharmon 05:46, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] UNIX-like?
The AtheOS site says it is not a UNIX clone. Is Syllable a really UNIX clone?--Dojarca 15:22, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] ABrowse merger
At the moment, there's a question to whether or not ABrowse is notable enough to have its own article. As it appears to be Syllable's default web browser, I think it may have a chance. But if it can't hold on its own, it may have to be merged here. --wL<speak·check> 11:19, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'd say ABrowse is notable enough: it uses WebKit and was the first browser outside of the KDE project to use the KHTML engine. If browsers such as abaco or Skiptone are considered notable, so should ABrowse. What the ABrowse article really needs is a clean up and better content, which is something I intend to do.
