[edit] why are they combined?
Is there any reason why the father and son are on the same article? Wouldn't it be better if they were on separate articles?
If you like. I came upon the one, and figured that while Jr was a star for Pittsburgh in the seventies, he wasn't preeminent enough to be at the top of the queue for his own page. RGTraynor 10:30, 21 October 2005 (UTC)
- I see. I don't really care either way. I just thought it was strange because no where else in hockey wiki have i seen that. Masterhatch 11:14, 21 October 2005 (UTC)
- I've seen it in a couple places. There are certainly families where one party has done enough to warrant mention of some sort, but perhaps not enough to sustain an article: while Bryan Hextall Sr and Ron Hextall were notable stars, Bryan Jr and Dennis weren't ... but they were far from scrubs either. - Makes sense. Speaking of father son, the net sometimes is a horrible source for information and I was wondering if you had more information about the Bill McCreary and Gretzy incident. I wrote the Bill McCreary Jr., but more info about what happened between him and Gretzky is needed. Well, not so much more info but more specific info. I remember as a kid watching the Don Cherry Rock 'em sock 'em vidoes and one of his videos mentions that hit and Cherry said that that was the last game Bill McCreary ever played. I was going to add that to the article, but with only a faint memory from a hockey video i last watched over a decade ago, that's not a reliable source. Any reliable info that you may have would be great! thanks Masterhatch 04:13, 22 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Combination and Categories
Having these two combined have confused me as to what to do about categories. There are a few that need to be added for both Jr. and Sr., so do I do the categories for both of them in this page or just Sr., or what? I noticed that the only categories in this article so far are Sr's. Croat Canuck 04:56, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Canadian Parliament
Is it possible that Apps ran for parliament in 1940 while he was still a player? Brant (electoral district) has a "Charles Joseph Sylva Apps" as running for National Government in 1940. -- Earl Andrew - talk 16:53, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
- yep, the Parliament Library site lists Charles Joseph Sylva Apps as a hockey player. -- Earl Andrew - talk 16:58, 4 January 2006 (UTC)

- Interesting; you'd think that Coleman would have mentioned it. Not the last time for a hockey player, but it probably wouldn't happen nowadays. RGTraynor 17:49, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
