Sylvia Waugh (born 1935) is a British children's author.

Having worked full-time as a grammar teacher for seventeen years, Waugh began her writing career in her late forties. In 1993, she published her first book, The Mennyms, which eventually evolved into an entire series.

The Ormingat Trilogy is a great story, especially for teens and tweens. If you have ever felt left out because of race, sex, or sexual orientation or any other form of discrimination then these books will more than likely change your life.
