Sylvia Lora Tidy-Harris (born July 17th 1961 in Southport, Merseyside) is a British entrepreneur and media pundit.

Her background includes working for Monarch Airlines as cabin crew at 18, personal and business manager to her father the cartoonist Bill Tidy MBE, a programme researcher for Granada TV, Central and BBC TV & Radio, a charity fundraiser for the Lord's Taverners and as a tour manager for Saga Holidays and Titan Tours.
In 2001 she founded The Speakers Agency Ltd, which evolved into T.H. Entertainment Ltd, the registered company under which 5 brands operate; The Speakers Agency, womenspeakers.co.uk, menspeakers.co.uk, STH Management and Tidy Public Relations.
As a media figure, Sylvia regularly appears on The Jeremy Vine Show on BBC Radio 2, BBC Breakfast, GMTV, BBC Five Live, and was also a columnist for the Business section in The Daily Telegraph. Sylvia’s media contributions often concern her strong opposition to red tape bureaucracy affecting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and extended maternity leave. She herself refuses to employ women of child-bearing age.
She is passionate about improving the quality of business startup advice in general and the advancement of women in business. She is an Orange National Business Awards Judge, East Midlands Business Champion, an FSB Amazing Volunteer and was involved with the East Midlands Assembly serving on the Business Scrutiny and Survival Panel. She is also keen to see fundamental business skills taught in schools as a matter of course.
Sylvia married Fred Harris in 1998 and has two stepdaughters Mandy and Kirsty and a granddaughter Olivia.
