Sylvan Lake Town Council is the municipal government of Sylvan Lake. It consists of one mayor and six councilors.
The mayor is Bryan Lambertson. He was first elected to council in a 2000 by-election. He was then elected as mayor of Sylvan Lake in October 2001.
The six councilors are Bart Dyrland, Judy Payne, Lynda Sills-Fiedler, Ken MacVicar, Frank Peck and Richard Backs. Dyrland was the only incumbent councilor who was re-elected in the 2004 elections.

There is currently an election planned to be held on October 15, 2007. As of current there is 5 people running for the position as councilors with the position for mayor still open.[1]
