Sylvain Monsoreau (born March 20, 1981 in Saint-Cyr-l'École) is a French footballer who plays for AS Monaco. He started his career with FC Sochaux-Montbéliard playing 110 games scoring 4 goals. His first professional match for Sochaux was a 2-1 victory over Bordeaux in 2001.
He also scored a goal for Sochaux in 6 UEFA Cup matches in the 2003/04 season. He joined Olympique Lyonnais in the summer of 2005, playing 19 league games and 2 in the UEFA Champions League. In 2006, he joined Monaco where he has played 630 minutes in 7 games meaning he has been ever present. He hasn't yet been capped for France.
But for the first time, in 2005, he take part in the french A-squad pre-selection[1].
