Sylvère Lotringer

Sylvère Lotringer is a French philosopher and critical theorist, and Professor of French Literature and Philosophy at Columbia University, New York.[1]
He founded, and has been the General Editor of, Semiotext(e), an American independent publisher which aimed to introduce English-speaking audiences to the work of French theorists such as Gilles Deleuze, Jean Baudrillard, Paul Virilio, etc.

Lotringer studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, receiving a doctorate from the École Pratique des Hautes Études VIe section in 1967.[2]
