Sykamino or Sikamino (Greek: Συκάμινο meaning sycamore or mulberry), older forms: Sikamino and Sikaminon is a town and community of the Greek prefecture of Attica, it is also a suburb of Athens. It is located in the extreme northwestern part of East Attica Prefecture. Malakasa is linked with a road linking Oropos and Oinofyta and has an interchange with GR-1/E75 to the west in Oinofyta and Avlona. Sykamino also links a road to Chalkoutsi. The area around Sykamino has farmlands in almost the entire area while some parts represent urban housing. Sykamino is located north of Athens, east of Thiva and south of Chalkida. Agriculture are the most popular industry in Sykamino, businesses dominates the village area. The community has a land area of 15.643 km² and a 2001 census population of 1,522 inhabitants. The town of Sykámino (pop. 865) is the governmental seat of the community. The other villages in the community are Néo Sykámino (pop. 270), Pefkiás (205), Kamári (104), and Katifóri (78).
