[edit] No sources

There are no sources at all for this article, which is a great shame. I realise it will be difficult to find English language sources to verify the text of this article, but we really need to do this. At present, with no sources cited, the article is in violation of the Wikipedia principle of verifiability and risks being deleted. This would be a shame because of the systematic bias against articles covering subjects outside the English speaking world. I have tried to tidy up the article, and before I take any further steps would ask anyone with information to please cite some sources. Kim Dent-Brown (Talk) 11:08, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Need for sources in biographical article

This Request for Comment is made because this article has been tagged as needing reliable sources. The problem is that verifiable sources on a biographical subject like this (a scholar from Pakistan) are very hard to find in a form that fits the usual expectations of an academic from the UK or USA for example. However, insisting on the same level of sourcing for an article like this may only deepen systemic bias in Wikipedia. Advice would be welcomed on how to avoid systematic bias, while not compromising on article quality and the need for verification. !! time=08:55, 2 February 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kim Dent-Brown (talkcontribs)
