I love to see a source for this.

He was one of the greatest midfielders in the world. Diego Maradona has compared him to the likes of Claude Makélélé and Kaka. Maradona said, "Faruk is absolutely brilliant!!Better than myself!!". Faruk who has scored 100 goals in 57 games for Singapore.
