Syed Barique Mahmood

Syed Barique Mahmood FRSA, (born 3 March 1980, Dhaka, Bangladesh) is an entrepreneur, business person and transatlantic lobbyist. He is the first Bangladeshi origin who is involved with professional lobbying in the US Senate, House of Representative and the European Parliament.

He operates his own businesses in both side of Atlantic. He is the founder and chief executive of SBM Group, a global management consultancy company. He is the co-founder and chief executive of UK based international charity organization Jahanara Foundation.

His professional career started as a psychologist. He was a writer and translator in his early life. He involved with many local national and international charitable and professional organization. He is one of the researchers of Global Development Network(GDN).

Syed is serving as school governor in two different boroughs of London. He is elected as committee member of his local Royal British Legion. He appointed as a trustee of Redbridge Citizen Advice Bureau in 2007.

Syed recently awarded fellowship from Royal Society of Arts and Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain.
