Syed Anwaar Gilani (Urdu: سیدانوارگیلانی) is an Urdu writer, columnist and dramatist from Pakistan. A contributor to editorial pages on issues ranging from showbiz, politics, international relations, and social commentaries. He writes for The Daily Pakistan with the name of "Main ney kaha". He has tried his hand on a variety of subjects focusing on important issues prevalent in our society. He believes that "Journalism education has pretty much neglected columns . . . . The heart of journalism may be news reporting, and the soul of journalism the editorial page, but the personality of journalism is the column." Bayat, his first collection of poems, consists of both ghazals and nazms. He is the writer of a comedy tv series "Just Chill!" and longplays like "Climax" and Mohabbat Zindabad. He is presently working in Punjab Public Library Lahore. Anwaar did his education in Sheikhupura & Lahore. After graduating with a degree in commerce from University of Punjab, he began his career as a journalist in the 2005. Writing for Anwaar, is his first love, his passion, his junoon, his life breath!
