If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article John D. Pollard, you may have a conflict of interest. Dear Orangemike,

Thank you for your comments. I undertook sme of my early traning in Neurology with Professor John Pollard - this is my connection. Clearly someone with no connection would not be able to provide the necessary information. John Pollard is internationally renowned in his medical field - as judged by his numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals - I have added a PUBMED link to verify this for Wikipedia's readership. A Festschrift is being held in his honour in Sydney next week that i being attended by >150 people with 3 overseas (2 US, 1 UK) Professors of Neurology speaking in his honour. He has been awarded the Order of Australia by the Australian government for services to Medicine. I am not sure what more you would need to support the objectivity of the article. Please let me know.

I've made some edits to the article to give it a more neutral tone and subsequently removed the COI tag. If you can live with my edits, I'd say we leave it at this.  Channel ®   08:50, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
