[edit] Your edits to Ian Bell
Please stop adding the information about the 'Sherminator' nickname. At the moment I think that you are making it up, but I would happily be shown that I am incorrect. If you can find a suitable citation for the fact, then you are welcome to re-add the information. Until then, I will continue to revert your changes. Ollie 03:39, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- I am not making up the info re Ian Bell being given the nickname. It was a sledge given to him by Warne in the current test and is being reported on Cricinfo etc. Cheers --165.228.217.234 04:29, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- Could you provide a link to that because I can't find this myself. You must forgive my skeptisism, but content on Wikipedia must be verifiable (published by a reliable source) and not just hear-say. If you want, I can give you a hand to add the fact to article, along with its citation. Thanks for your understanding in this! Ollie 04:36, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- No problems - I understand. Well, there is this: http://www.theage.com.au/news/sport/jones-dad-taunt-as-warne-turns-up-ashes-heat/2006/12/04/1165080878544.html and this: http://content-aus.cricinfo.com/ausveng/engine/current/match/249223.html - talked about in the preamble to the fifth day's play in the comments. --165.228.217.234 04:55, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- Excellent. So now you can go ahead and add something to the article, and include the reference. I would use the one from The Age, as it's easier to see where the information comes from. (I realise now that you linked to the scorecard one earlier, i just didn't look far enough to see the relevant part - sorry!).
- You can add the reference by typing [http://www.theage.com.au/news/sport/jones-dad-taunt-as-warne-turns-up-ashes-heat/2006/12/04/1165080878544.html] after the fact, which gives this [1]. You can read more about references and different ways of adding them at WP:REF if you are interested.
- You might want to consider signing up for a user account, and looking at your contributions so far, you may be interested in WikiProject Cricket. Finally, Welcome to Wikipedia, thanks for your contributions, and sorry for making adding this such a hurdle! Ollie 05:13, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
