In Super A4 format, the prime advertising space on the covers is given over to high-detail maps covering Sydney's CBD, the Greater Sydney region, and the surrounding area up to about an hour's drive away.
Intended for wealthy tourists, the content is nevertheless deliberately not focussed on local mass-market tourist attractions. Stories cover a broad range of topics designed to appeal to the very broad readership demographic, which is evenly spread across the sexes and adult age groups. A sister magazine to the annual Crème de la Crème, 'Sydneyside' covers the same topics but with a section dedicated to what is happening in Sydney and half-day and full-day excursions likely to appeal to the very-well-off traveller.
The stories reflect the international outlook of the average reader. The 2008 edition includes a travelogue of Burma, the Lamborghini Gallardo, the economics of the Australian wine export business, Fashion, Olives, Pink Diamonds, Tea, Handbags [2], Target Shooting, the Wallaby, Australian birds, assertive Cooking, Florence, and other travel, political, Collecting, fine Watches and profiles of interesting people.

52 hotels in and around Sydney take 'Sydneyside'. The vast majority of both international and domestic travellers go to Sydney for at least one overnight stay, and the majority never leave New South Wales.[1]
