Sydney Bus route 400 is a Sydney Buses operated bus route in Sydney, Australia.
Route 400 was introduced as a major cross suburban route in the 1980's and was originally marketed as 'Metroline 400'. This branding is not currently used but can be seen on some bus stops.
The 400 is a limited stops service, which means that it only stops at major stops, and allows suburban access to Sydney Airport. The route is one of Sydney's longest, at 23 sections. Services operate at 20 minutely intervals throughout the entire length, and 10 minutely on the section between Eastgardens and Bondi Junction. During peak hours, route 410 provides additional service between Rockdale and Bondi Junction, bypassing Sydney Airport.
