SydneyLink

SydneyLink is a proposed series of major transport projects, including a North West Metro, an M4 Extension, the South West Rail Link and possible future metro to the West and the South East of Sydney, Australia. Metro Link is a key part of SydneyLink to improve Sydney's public transport with a number of metro rail lines, the first of which is the North West Metro.[1]

  • High frequency services with trains traveling every few minutes.
  • More doors to improve entry and exit.
  • Energy efficient metros will run predominantly on underground routes.
  • Reduced traffic congestion and passenger crowding.
  • Can move more than 60,000 people in an hour, while CityRail lines are limited to a maximum of about 30,000 people per hour.[2]
