[edit] About Syd
A jack the lad builder who arrived in the village with his workmate Jerry "Mack" MacKinley. He proved popular with his rugged good looks and rogueish charm and managed to seduce many of the local women including Nicola Blackstock, Angie Reynolds and lapdancer Yolanda.
After a few years he wanted to settle down and fall in love with a nice girl, which he promptly did with sex-bomb housemate (and best friend Scott Windsor's girlfriend) Chloe Atkinson. While he was totally in love with her, she never put her heart into the relationship, and following a number of bust-ups, left him.
Following a lack of work in the village, a new job offer, falling out with Scott over the Attack on Frank Bernard Hartbourne and a clumsy pass at friend Chastity Dingle, Syd left the village to start afresh in Manchester.
