I am trying to establish if Sycow is the Kreis Gross Wartenburg where my mother was born on 1 April 1922. Her name was Franziska Zimara. I think she had a sister called Maria and a brother called Felix. Felix served in the German Army (in Russia amongst other locations) during World War Two. She was born to a local farmer and Bergermeister. She went to college in Breslau (now Wroclaw). She married my father, a serving British Soldier after the war on 30 April 1949 in Menden.
