Sy Sutcliffe (April 15, 1862 in Wheaton, Illinois - February 13, 1893) was a major league baseball player in the 1800s. Although his first years were slow, he hit well[neutrality disputed] with the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Statesmen. However, his career was cut short with his early death--he died of Bright's Disease[citation needed] at age 30.
