[edit] Metalcore

I'm thinking a "hardcore/metal" crossover would be constituted as "metalcore"? Sworn Enemy does fit the metalcore sound to an extent therefore I'm changing the genre. 1607m4dsk1llz 03:57, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

re: "To an extent?" There's no question about it, they ARE metalcore. But now, someone has changed it to "new school hardcore" or some such nonsense. This is ridiculous. Sworn Enemy is indeed a metalcore band, like it or not ( I think the person/s who keeps changing this must be embarassed by the "metalcore" label and all that [they perceive] goes with it??). I changed it back to "metalcore," as it should be. ==

I fixed a few dead links. -scenestar

It should be noted that the band is more resemblant of Crossover (Thrash/Hardcore Punk) then Metalcore in it's modern form. I think it would be more appropriate to tag them as both Metalcore and Crossover. On another note the band is releasing it's newest album "Maniacal" on Century Media, and has released two albums on Abacus Recordings (an imprint of Century Media), since Century Media is considered one of the premier independent "metal" record labels I believe the notability tag should be removed. Abacus has now folded back into CM and all records from said label are now being produced by the latter, this should technically fulfill the 5th criteria for Sworn Enemy's musical notability.
