Swords of Legendia is a role-playing game published by Namco Bandai Games, for the Wii. The game is confirmed to not be part of the Tales series.

Swords of Legendia was revealed during the Wii's preview event on September 13, 2006.[1]

Around that same period, there was a video on the Wii's Japanese website showing various interviews with developers, one of which, was with Makoto Yoshizumi, who was a producer of the original Tales of Symphonia. He was discussing about the controller, and he then showed a single piece of artwork. The game however was unheard of since then, leading many to believe the game was quietly cancelled.[2]

However, the game was still listed on Namco's Japanese website in their Wii games section, even after (and is currently listed alongside with) Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World was revealed back in 2007.[3]

Finally, after the long quiet period, Tsutomu Gouda confirmed on April 16, 2008 that he is in charge of the game, as well as that development is proceeding, and finally that the game is not part of the Tales series.[4]
