Swissivory is a DJ, Producer, Mc, and entertainer specialized in urban music.

He has produced instrumental beats for the Outlawz, DMX, Mr Cheeks of the Lost Boyz, Busta Rhymes and Keith Murray.

DJ Swissivory was born on August 16th, 1983, in the city of Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Growing up in West Africa, with a Lebanese-Liberian mother and a Swiss father, he was naturally exposed to various cultures, languages, and music genres. At home, there was always a Marvin Gaye/Aretha Franklin or a Pink Floyd/Kenny Rogers record on. At school and with friends, he fell in love with Hip Hop, Reggae and African music. On top of that, Swissivory was fortunate enough to take piano classes from the age of 8, where he learned how to play classical, jazz, and blues pieces. After high school, he moved to America to study Economics at Boston University in 2002.

While in college, Swissivory began to DJ at local events. In 2004, he took a production class sponsored by Red Bull. Using his piano skills and DJ techniques, he began to produce for local emcees, and he sold his instrumental beats online. In 2005 he linked up with DJ Pup Dawg from JAM’N 94.5, Boston’s 1 Hip Hop radio station. As a result, DJ Swissivory was able to spin at some of Boston’s finest bars, lounges and clubs. He also met local artists such as RU, Omega Red, Vudoo Soul and Chaos; thanks to his website, he was also able to collaborate with singers and emcees worldwide. He remixed songs for industry acts such as DMX, Wu- Tang, Mobb Deep, Immortal Technique, and Mr Cheeks, amongst others.

Now residing in Zurich, DJ Swissivory has been tearing up the scene in Switzerland. He now hosts 2 online radio shows every week, runs his own clothing store and regularly releases various promotional and mix CD’s. Every weekend he is spinning at a hot venue. Every Sunday, he spins at the Gleam Talent School to bring young adolescents off the streets through Hip Hop. He is a member of two of the biggest DJ communities in the world: the Hitmen DJ’s in the USA, and the DJ-League in Europe. He is now running his own record label 1 Hustle Records. A CD release is due in 2008!!

With his international experience as a DJ, musician and producer, Swissivory is definitely to be counted as a heavyweight of the new generation of Hip Hop Music. Having already acquired credits from well known artists and learnt the tools of the trade as a DJ, Swissivory is set to make a big difference through his music and bring a breath of fresh air to Hip Hop.
