[edit] Shaba -> Saba

Leads to a disambiguation page where it is not mentioned, so basically nowhere. Saba too is no help. The place was in recently conquered Bessarabia, I am still trying to find out where it is now (Ukraine? Moldavia? Rumania hardly seems possible).

These immigrants were French-speaking and introduced wine to the area.

Seems Moldavian:[1]--Paul Pieniezny (talk) 16:56, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks -- it appears that the settlement is in Moldavia, but not in Moldava. Situated "next to Cetatea Albă", it would seem to be located in the Ukraine. I wonder it it is identical to modern Shabo (Шабо [2]). dab (𒁳) 09:04, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
