[edit] Article Deletion Discussion (closed)
The comments below were part of the discussion of the possible deletion of the Swiftweasel article. The deletion did not happen. In order to make the page organized I place this header over the discussion.Kilz (talk) 18:18, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
What's the difference between Swiftweasel and Swiftfox? Similarities? Differences? We can talk about it in the article.
Swiftfox is a proprietary application under a proprietary license. It dose not contain the same default extensions. Swiftfox also does not have 64bit binaries. Kilz (talk) 00:49, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
Swiftweasel has 32 and 64 bit builds. It contains default extensions like adblock plus, user agent switcher, and quick locale switcher. It has its own settings directory while swiftfox uses the firefox settings directory. The swiftweasel project now also builds Swiftdove a mail client with the lightning plugin installed by default. Kilz (talk) 00:52, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
Swiftweasel builds are Pango included. Ysduiker (talk) 01:21, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Q: How do I vote for the Swiftweasel -page to stay ? (it is currently marked for deletion - I want to vote against the deletion). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.181.72.42 (talk) 07:13, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

I enjoy using Swiftweasel and I would like this article to stay -- Jason —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.27.150.230 (talk) 11:00, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
Please keep this article, I spent two days looking for this type of application (an optimized version of iceweasel) without knowing its name. Finally found it, right before I compiled my own! :-) informedbanker (talk) 17:51, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
I too energetically recommending keeping this article. Swiftweasel is an ongoing project, amongst a series of projects related to Firefox, with it's own serious differences. And it is used by many people. I can't imagine why Wikipedia would not want to provide an explanation of what Swiftweasel is and how it differs from the other Firefox iterations. 27 January 2008.
I vote against the deletion of this article - Claudio —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.11.7.66 (talk) 16:34, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
The deletion discussion ended long ago. The article is not going to be deleted. No more posts on this are necessary. this section is in place only as a reference to what happened. Kilz (talk) 19:43, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- People should also note that polls are evil and should not be used to make decisions. Voting doesn't help much, so in the future, please state reasons/reasoning rather than a simple yes or no. --Kjoonlee 22:52, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
Why would anyone consider deleting this article? Its fine. Swiftweasel is Mozilla Firefox optimized for processor specific architectures. Please understand that the general public does not matter. Not in this article, the general public just needed to read that its optimized for a certain processor so it runs faster. Oh and it runs in linux. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.118.27.36 (talk) 22:58, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
