[edit] History

The team was created in the wake of the Swift Current Broncos becoming the Lethbridge Broncos in 1974. Originally dubbed the "Broncos", the team changed their name to the "Indians" in 1983. The team folded in 1986 when the original Broncos came back to the City of Swift Current in 1986. The "SJHL Broncos" won the SJHL Championship in their first ever season in the league. Ten out of twelve of Swift Current's seasons were winning seasons.
