I have celebrated Sweetest Day for as long as I can remember, and I'm 65 years old. I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Though I always find a reason to give my loved one gifts, Sweetest Day is just an "official" reason to do so. Thank you for the article. I had no idea of it's origin. Rosario Villari Columbus, Ohio
