IMDb profile

Sweethearts is a 1938 musical romance, MGM's first feature-length Technicolor film. It was directed by W.S. Van Dyke and starred Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy. The screenplay, though based loosely on the 1913 operetta by Herbert, differed greatly from the stage version.
