Sweet Home High School, or SHHS, is a New York public high school located at 1901 Sweet Home Road in Amherst, New York. Sweet Home High School is one of 7 schools in the Sweet Home Central School District, it educates students in grades 9 through 12, and it is located in Amherst, New York. The Sweet Home School District consists of 1 High School, 1 Middle School, and 4 Elementary schools (Glendale, Heritage Heights, Maplemere, and Willow Ridge) and 1 Alternative School (Dexter Terrace). Nearly 4,000 students are enrolled in the District's seven schools.
Sweet Home High school is listed at number 792 by Newsweek in the annual list of "The 1,000 Top U.S. Schools".

The school offers and competes in a number of sports, including Football, Basketball, Baseball, Ice Hockey, Lacrosse, Cross Country, Field Hockey, Golf, Gymnastics, Soccer, Swimming, Tennis, Volleyball, Cheerleading, Bowling, Indoor Track and Field, Track and Field, Softball, and Wrestling.
Most notable of the accomplishments of the Sweet Home athletics teams is a streak of 292 undefeated games by the girls volleyball team. The streak lasted a span of eight seasons from 1978-1987, and set a National Federation of High School record for consecutive wins.[1]
